Matt St. Croix is the founder of CNY Savage Basketball. He has over 20 years of coaching experience at the college and youth basketball levels He has had much success at St. John Fisher College, Jefferson CC, and as the Head Coach at Mohawk Valley CC for 14 years. With over 350 career wins as a head coach and several regional and conference championships, his teams have been perennially ranked in the top 5 nationally. He has helped develop over 50 players that have played at 4 year colleges with some at the scholarship level. Over 10 of his former players have played professionally at some level.
He has successfully provided and developed youth basketball programs for the last 20 years. Savage Basketball provides basketball opportunities for youth ages 5-19. From camps and training, to youth leagues and tournaments, the focus is always on fundamentals and having fun! Teaching the game and providing an opportunity for success is always a priority with the youth programs we create!
In 2019 St. Croix helped to develop the Sports Management Program at Mohawk Valley CC from the ground up. Since its inception in 2019, the program has quickly grown in to one of the highest enrolled and most successful programs at the college. Currently Coach St. Croix is employed as a full time Assistant Professor in charge of the Sports Management Program at MVCC. He is married to Assistant Professor Gina St. Croix. He has 3 Daughters Laney, Addison and Brynn. Laney and Addison are current Savage players.
